Energy Psychology (EP) refers to an innovated approach to resolving emotional distress using a combination of structured breathing, physical cueing of the body and mind while focused on the distress using cognitive focus, self-applied acupressure to reprogram the mind/body to releasing the distress.
Dr. Lambrou and his colleagues have conducted and had published, pilot clinical studies that demonstrated specific and measurable changes in physiology and subjective distress using a version of EP called Emotional Self-Management. While these methods are still considered experimental, they have been found to be very effective in clinical practice and when combined with conventional therapies they can frequently speed the relief and resolution of trauma, anxiety, fears, and other distress.
